CHEMICAL PEEL

Chemical peels use chemical solution to improve the texture and tone of your skin by removing damaged outer layers

WHAT IS CHEMICAL PEEL

A chemical peel is a cosmetic procedure where a chemical solution is applied to the skin, removing its top layers. This process promotes the growth of new, smoother skin. Light and medium peels may require multiple treatments to achieve desired results.

Chemical peels treat wrinkles, skin discoloration, and scars, primarily on the face. They can be performed alone or in combination with other cosmetic procedures. Available in varying depths from light to deep, these treatments offer different levels of results. While deeper peels provide more dramatic outcomes, they also require longer recovery times.

chemical peel Types

A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing procedure. Depending on the issues you’re addressing with the procedure, you’ll choose a chemical peel in one of three depths:

skill-level--basic

Light chemical peel

This mild peel removes the skin’s top layer. It helps with fine lines, acne, uneven skin color, and dryness. You can get this peel every two to five weeks.

skill-level--intermediate

Medium chemical peel

This peel goes deeper, removing skin cells from the top layer and part of the middle layer. It treats wrinkles, acne scars, and uneven skin tone. You might need several treatments for best results.

skill-level--advanced

Deep chemical peel

This is the strongest type. It removes skin cells from deeper layers. Your doctor may suggest this for deep wrinkles, noticeable scars, or suspicious skin growths. Usually, one treatment is enough.
